Qstock

Qstock is an annual two-day music festival held in Oulu, Finland, at the end of July. Starting in 2003, it has grown to be the largest summer event in northern Finland, attracting around 40,000 visitors. Featuring a diverse lineup of domestic and international artists across various genres, Qstock is considered the successor to the former Kuusrock festival. As of July 2023, the festival has sold out nine consecutive times, highlighting its popularity and significance in the Finnish music scene.

1965: VW Kleinbus promotional vehicle

In 1965, a white/yellow coloured VW Kleinbus became the event's official promotional vehicle.

July 2003: 1st Qstock organised in Oulu

In July 2003, the 1st Qstock was organised in Oulu. The organizers expected 2,000 visitors, but the number grew to 7,000. The lineup included Sentenced, Negative and Radiopuhelimet.

2003: First Qstock festival

2006: Festival capacity increased in 2006

In 2006, the festival capacity was significantly increased by bringing the main entrance closer to the city center, ticket exchange spots in the city central decreased visitor traffic rush at entrances.

In July 2014, the 12th Qstock festival was organised in Kuusisaari & Raatti, Oulu. The festival was sold out, with Volbeat headlining on Friday 25 and Megadeth on Saturday 26 July.
