Resident Evil, or Biohazard in Japan, is a Capcom-created horror franchise spanning survival horror, third-person, and first-person shooter games. Players navigate environments filled with zombies and mutated creatures. The franchise has expanded into films, TV series, comics, novels, audiobooks, and merchandise, becoming the highest-grossing horror franchise.

1978: Dawn of the Dead (1978)
