Barca d'Alva railway station was a border station and the former terminus of Portugal's Douro Line until its closure in 1988. Serving the village of Barca d'Alva in the municipality of Figueira de Castelo Rodrigo, it facilitated rail connections between Portugal and Spain via the Barca d'Alva–La Fuente de San Esteban railway. Its closure marked a significant change in the region's transportation infrastructure.
