Chris Pollard is an American baseball coach, currently the head coach for the Virginia Cavaliers. Prior to his coaching career, Pollard was a pitcher, playing college baseball at Davidson under Dick Cooke from 1993 to 1996 and professionally in 1996. Before joining Virginia, he served as the head coach for the Pfeiffer Falcons from 2000 to 2004 and the Appalachian State Mountaineers. Pollard's career reflects a trajectory from player to experienced and successful college baseball coach.
