History of Doechii in Timeline
Doechii, born Jaylah Ji'mya Hickmon, is an American rapper and singer who gained prominence through viral TikTok videos in 2021. She subsequently signed with Top Dawg Entertainment and Capitol Records in 2022. Her single "What It Is," released in 2023, became her first Billboard Hot 100 entry and earned platinum certification. Doechii also expanded her career into acting, debuting in the 2023 drama film, Earth Mama.
