The Palisades Fire, a destructive wildfire in Los Angeles County, began on January 7, 2025, and was contained on January 31. Fueled by Santa Ana winds, it burned 23,448 acres across Pacific Palisades, Topanga, and Malibu. Resulting in 12 fatalities and the destruction of 6,837 structures, it became the tenth-deadliest and third-most destructive wildfire in California history, and the most destructive in Los Angeles city history.
