Carnival Spirit

Carnival Spirit is a Spirit-class cruise ship owned by Carnival Cruise Line, a subsidiary of Carnival Corporation & plc. Constructed in Helsinki by Kværner Masa-Yards, it was the first Spirit-class cruise ship to be delivered to Carnival, joining their fleet in 2001.

May 2016: Carnival Announces Ship to Sail from Shanghai

In May 2016, Carnival announced that the Carnival Spirit would sail seasonally from Shanghai beginning in the Australian winter of 2018, making it the first Carnival ship to be based in China.

2018: Carnival Spirit to sail from Brisbane

In mid-2018, Carnival announced that Carnival Spirit would become the company's first ship to sail from Brisbane from 2020.

2020: Carnival Spirit last to sail from Sydney

In 2020, Carnival Spirit was the last Cruise Ship to sail from Sydney, before the Australian Cruising Shutdown. The ship never debuted in Brisbane due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

February 2022: Carnival Spirit redeployed to Jacksonville, Florida

In February 2022, Carnival announced the Carnival Spirit would be redeployed to Jacksonville, Florida and begin operating four-to-five-day itineraries to the Bahamas on March 7, replacing voyages originally slated for Carnival Ecstasy. It marked a decade since the ship last operated permanently in North America.

October 2023: Carnival Spirit to sail from Mobile, Alabama

In October 2023, the Carnival Spirit was deployed to begin sailing from Mobile, Alabama following another Alaskan season in mid 2023.
