Chuck Schumer is the senior U.S. Senator from New York, serving since 1999. A Democrat, he has led the Senate Democratic Caucus since 2017. In 2022, upon election to his fifth term, Schumer became the longest-serving U.S. Senator from New York, surpassing Daniel Patrick Moynihan and Jacob K. Javits.
