Ketel Marte is a Dominican professional baseball second baseman currently playing for the Arizona Diamondbacks in MLB. He debuted in the majors with the Seattle Mariners in 2015 before being traded to Arizona. A three-time All-Star (2019, 2024, 2025), Marte was named the NLCS MVP in 2023, leading the Diamondbacks to their first pennant since 2001.

In 2023, Ketel Marte rebounded, batting .276 with 25 home runs. He won the NLCS MVP award after hitting .387 in the series and extending his postseason hitting streak to 16 games, leading Arizona to their first pennant since 2001.

In 2024, Ketel Marte was named the starting second baseman for the All-Star Game after batting .292 with 19 home runs and 57 RBI at the All-Star Break. He ended the 2024 season with batting .292 with a career-high 36 HRs and 95 RBI. Marte won his first Silver Slugger Award of his career and was named to the All-MLB First Team.
On April 2, 2025, the Diamondbacks signed Ketel Marte to a six-year contract extension worth a guaranteed $116.5 million.
On June 2, 2025, Marte reached third place on the all-time career RBIs list as a Diamondback with 481, surpassing Steve Finley.
In June 2025, a fan at Rate Field in Chicago heckled Ketel Marte regarding his deceased mother, leading Marte to break down in tears. The fan was banned from attending games indefinitely.
