Dallin H. Oaks is a prominent American religious leader, currently serving as the president of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Previously, he served as the First Counselor in the First Presidency. Prior to his religious service, Oaks had a distinguished career as a jurist and academic. He was called as a member of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles in 1984 and is currently the most senior apostle by years of service.
