Dan Wilson is an American musician, singer-songwriter, visual artist, and record producer known for his exceptional songwriting abilities. He gained prominence as the writer of "Closing Time" for his band Semisonic. Wilson's success extends to collaborations, co-writing "Not Ready to Make Nice" with The Chicks and the global hit "Someone Like You" with Adele. He received a Grammy nomination for "Closing Time" and won Grammy Awards for Song of the Year and Album of the Year as a producer for Adele's album 21.
