1997: Tommykaira ZZ Production Begins

In 1997, Tommykaira in Kyoto began producing the Tommykaira ZZ, selling 206 units worldwide until 2001. The GLM ZZ inherits the concept, car name, and logo mark of this earlier vehicle.

2001: End of Tommykaira ZZ Production

In October 2015, full-scale mass production of the sports car type electric vehicle Tommykaira ZZ started at a dedicated factory of Kosaka Metal Industry in Maizuru, Kyoto. The selling price was 8 million yen excluding tax, for only 99 units.

2015: ZZ Exhibited at Goodwood Festival of Speed

In 2015, the Tommykaira ZZ was exhibited at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, a global motorsport event in the United Kingdom.

September 2016: Capital Tie-up with Yaskawa Electric Corporation

In September 2016, Yaskawa Electric Corporation announced a capital tie-up with GLM.

2016: Announcement of GLM G4 Concept Car

At the 2016 Paris Motor Show, the concept car of the EV supercar "GLM G4" was announced.

2016: Acquisition of Shares and Alliance with Savage Rivale

In 2016, GLM acquired a portion of shares of Savage Rivale, a Dutch automaker, and formed a capital and business alliance. The G4 will be an electric vehicle version of the Roadyacht GTS sold by Savage Rivale.

April 2017: Japan Premiere of GLM G4 and Sales Plan Announcement

July 2017: Capital Tie-up with Aulux HD
