Idaho Power Company (IPC), a subsidiary of IDACORP, Inc., is a regulated electrical power utility providing electricity in eastern Oregon and southern Idaho. Its operations encompass the entire electricity value chain: purchase, sale, generation, transmission, and distribution. The company's service area spans 24,000 square miles around the Snake River and its tributaries.

May 6, 1915: Idaho Power Company Incorporation

On May 6, 1915, Idaho Power Company originally filed for incorporation in Maine.

1968: Completion of Hells Canyon Complex

In 1968, Idaho Power completed the three-dam Hells Canyon Complex, consisting of Brownlee Dam, Oxbow Dam, and Hells Canyon Dam.
