Ios is a Greek island located in the Cyclades group, within the Aegean Sea, positioned between Naxos and Santorini. The island is primarily hilly, characterized by cliffs leading down to the sea. Ios is approximately 18 kilometers long and 10 kilometers wide, covering an area of 109.024 square kilometers (42.094 sq mi). As of the 2021 census, it has a population of 2,299 residents. Ios is part of the Thira regional unit.
