He wrote and directed several films, including "Life After Beth," "Joshy," "The Little Hours," "Horse Girl," and "Spin Me Round." He co-wrote the film "I Heart Huckabees." Baena frequently collaborates with actresses Alison Brie (his wife, with whom he co-wrote "Horse Girl" and "Spin Me Round"), Molly Shannon, and Aubrey Plaza.
