History of Lightning–Panthers rivalry in Timeline
The Lightning–Panthers rivalry, known as the Battle of Florida or the Battle of the Sunshine State, is a professional ice hockey rivalry between the Tampa Bay Lightning and the Florida Panthers. Both teams compete in the NHL's Atlantic Division. The rivalry was formerly recognized with the Governor's Cup, also called the Sunshine Cup and Nextel Cup Challenge.
