Norman Powell is an American professional basketball player currently playing for the Miami Heat in the NBA. He played college basketball for the UCLA Bruins, earning all-conference honors in the Pac-12. He was drafted in the second round of the 2015 NBA draft by the Milwaukee Bucks, but his rights were traded to the Toronto Raptors. Powell was a member of the Toronto Raptors team that won the NBA championship in 2019.

In 2012, Norman Powell averaged 6.1 points in 22.1 minutes, making nine starts while playing all 35 games for UCLA. He considered transferring after the season but decided to stay.
In 2013, Norman Powell started all 37 games for UCLA and was third on the team in scoring, averaging 11.4 points.
In 2014, UCLA opened the NCAA tournament in San Diego. They advanced to the Sweet 16, and Norman Powell averaged 13.0 points and 2.7 rebounds in three tournament contests.
In 2014, after being informed he was unlikely to be drafted, Norman Powell decided to return to UCLA for his senior year.
On March 1, 2015, Norman Powell scored a career-high 28 points in a 72–67 win over Washington State. He was also honored with his conference-high third Pac-12 Player of the Week award for the season.
