Despite the song's success, Maco struggled with mental health issues and addiction, and he was involved in a near-fatal car accident in 2016 that left him with severe facial injuries. He later became an advocate for mental health awareness. Maco continued to release music and collaborate with other artists but never replicated the mainstream success of "U Guessed It." His music is often described as a blend of trap, experimental hip hop, and punk influences.
