Overbrook High School (New Jersey)

Overbrook High School is a four-year public high school located in Pine Hill, Camden County, New Jersey. It serves students from Pine Hill in grades 9-12 as the only secondary school in the Pine Hill Schools district. Additionally, it serves students from Berlin Township and Clementon through sending/receiving relationships with their respective school districts. The school's colors are orange and blue.

October 1939: School Opening

In October 1939, Lower Camden County Regional High School opened in Lindenwold with 700 students, costing $575,000 to construct.

1966: Group II State Championship

In 1966, the boys' cross country running team won the Group II state championship.

1969: New Building Erected

In 1969, the current Overbrook High School building was erected in Pine Hill, and the former building became Overbrook Regional Junior High School.

In 1977, the boys' soccer team won the Group III state title as co-champion with Summit High School.

1980: Sectional Championship Win

In 1981, the wrestling team won the South Jersey Group III sectional championship.

1989: Erik Saunders Wins

In 1989, Erik Saunders won the state wrestling championship in the 135 lb. weight class.

1990: South Jersey Group III Title

In 1990, the football team won the South Jersey Group III title with a 22–19 win against Brick Memorial High School.

1991: Damien Covington Wins

In 1991, Damien Covington won the state wrestling championship at 189 lb.

1992: Kip Covington Wins

In 1992, Kip Covington won the state wrestling championship at 145 lb.

1998: South Jersey Group IV Title

In 1998, the football team won the South Jersey Group IV title, defeating Shawnee High School 21–14 at Rutgers Stadium, ending the season with a 12–0 record.

1999: LCCRHSD Dissolution

In 1999, the individual school boards voted to dissolve LCCRHSD, leading to the construction of Lindenwold High School and Pine Hill Middle School, and changes to Edgewood Regional Junior/Senior High School.

2005: Mark Peiffer Wins

In 2005, Mark Peiffer won the state wrestling championship at 171 lb.

September 9, 2006: Field Renaming

On September 9, 2006, Overbrook High School's varsity football field was renamed as the Larry Mauriello Varsity Football Complex.

On December 27, 2016, the Overbrook High School Athletics Department dedicated and named their first wrestling room after Paul Mauriello, calling it the "Coach Paul E. Mauriello Wrestling Room".
