Steeler was an American heavy metal band formed in 1981 by vocalist Ron Keel. They released their self-titled debut album in 1983 on Shrapnel Records. The band is notable for being an early project for guitarist Yngwie Malmsteen, who gained recognition through his work with Steeler before departing to form Alcatrazz and pursue a solo career. Shortly after the album's release, Ron Keel disbanded Steeler to form his own band, Keel.
