His self-produced debut EP, 'Steve Lacy's Demo' (2017), was critically acclaimed. He gained further prominence through collaborations, including a guest appearance with Frank Ocean on Tyler, the Creator's platinum-certified song "911 / Mr. Lonely" (2017).
