Survivor 48 is the upcoming forty-eighth season of the American reality television series Survivor. It is set to premiere on CBS on February 26, 2025. Like the previous fifteen seasons, Survivor 48 was filmed in the Mamanuca Islands, Fiji. The season will continue the show's format of pitting contestants against each other in challenges for rewards and immunity, ultimately voting each other out until a sole survivor remains to claim the grand prize.

December 15, 2023: Fijian Parliament renews Survivor contract

On December 15, 2023, the Fijian Parliament, through Manoa Kamikamica, the Fijian Minister of Commerce, Trade, Tourism and Transport, announced the renewal of its contract with Survivor for an additional two years.

December 18, 2024: Survivor 48 preview released

On December 18, 2024, a preview for Survivor 48 was released after the finale of Survivor 47.

January 29, 2025: Survivor 48 cast announced

On January 29, 2025, the 18 castaways competing on Survivor 48 were officially announced and divided into three tribes: Civa, Lagi, and Vula. The cast included Brown University ice hockey player Eva Erickson, who is the first openly autistic person to compete in the history of the show.

February 26, 2025: Survivor 48 Premiere

On February 26, 2025, Survivor 48 premiered on CBS in the United States, marking the sixteenth consecutive season filmed in the Mamanuca Islands in Fiji.

May 21, 2025: Kyle Fraser wins Survivor 48

On May 21, 2025, Kyle Fraser was voted the Sole Survivor of Survivor 48, defeating Eva Erickson and Joseph "Joe" Hunter in a 5–2–1 vote.
