USS Hobson (DD-464/DMS-26) was a Gleaves-class destroyer in the U.S. Navy, named after Richmond Pearson Hobson, a Medal of Honor recipient for his service in the Spanish-American War. Hobson later became a rear admiral and a U.S. Congressman from Alabama. The ship's designation reflects its role as both a destroyer and later a destroyer minesweeper (DMS).
