On August 31, 2018, WHLX began simulcasting WBTI, effectively giving Liggett Communications a WBTI presence on three frequencies, as WHLX already had the translator W224DT transmitting on 92.7 in Port Huron, extending WBTI's reach.

November 11, 2018: WHLX aired Christmas music format

On November 11, 2018, WHLX started airing a Christmas music format, branded as 92.7 The Gift, Port Huron's Christmas Station. The station carried independent programming for the first time since 2000.
