Adam Wainwright, nicknamed "Waino" and "Uncle Charlie", is a retired American professional baseball pitcher. He played his entire 18-year Major League Baseball (MLB) career with the St. Louis Cardinals. Known for his curveball, affectionately called "Uncle Charlie", Wainwright achieved significant success, becoming a cornerstone of the Cardinals' pitching staff for nearly two decades.
