History of Banco del Bienestar in Timeline

Banco del Bienestar is a state-owned bank in Mexico. It provides financial services and distributes resources for the federal government's social programs. Established in 2018, it replaced Banco del Ahorro Nacional y Servicios Financieros and previously operated as Patronato del Ahorro Nacional. 1946: Economic Initiatives Under President Miguel Alemán Valdés

In 1946, during President Miguel Alemán Valdés' term, there was an encouragement of creating small and medium-sized companies to bolster the economy through private investment funding.

January 1950: Establishment of Patronato del Ahorro Nacional (Pahnal)

In January 1950, the Patronato del Ahorro Nacional (Pahnal) was created, with its primary investment tool being Bonos del Ahorro Nacional (National Savings Bond). On its first day, bonds worth 5 million pesos were invested.

1951: Creation of Bono del Ahorro Escolar
