Adam Joseph Scherr, better known by his ring name Braun Strowman, is an American professional wrestler and former strongman. Currently signed to WWE, he wrestles on the Raw brand. Strowman's career has been defined by his imposing physique and incredible strength, a nod to his background as a strongman.
Adam Joseph Scherr, who would become known as Braun Strowman in the wrestling world, was born on September 6, 1983, in Sherrills Ford, North Carolina.
Braun Strowman graduated from Bandys High School in 2001, where he participated in football, track and field, and wrestling.
After a period of exploring different avenues, Braun Strowman decided to pursue higher education and enrolled in a community college in 2003.
Braun Strowman's athleticism and size caught the attention of NFL scouts, leading him to attend the NFL Scouting Combine in 2007, although he did not ultimately play professionally.

On June 2, 2021, Braun Strowman was released by WWE. His last match with the company was a triple threat match for the WWE Championship against Bobby Lashley and Drew McIntyre at WrestleMania Backlash.
On December 11, 2021, Scherr debuted at ROH's Final Battle pay-per-view as part of the Control Your Narrative stable alongside EC3 and Westin Blake, where the trio attacked Eli Isom, Dak Draper, and Brian Johnson.
In January 2022, Braun Strowman made his independent wrestling debut at Free The Narrative 2: The Monsters In Us All, defeating EC3.
Scherr, along with EC3, announced the formation of their own wrestling promotion, Control Your Narrative (CYN), on February 17, 2022. Inspired by Fight Club, the promotion allowed talent to shape their own storylines.
On September 1, 2022, it was reported that Scherr had re-signed with WWE. He returned on the September 5 episode of Raw, attacking all participants in a fatal four-way tag team match.
Braun Strowman made a highly anticipated return to WWE in 2022, further solidifying his presence as a formidable competitor.
On June 17, 2023, Scherr appeared in an episode of Destination Polaris alongside Andreas John Ziegler, teaching wrestling techniques to host Alexa Score.
In 2023, Strowman participated in the SmackDown World Cup tournament and later formed a tag team with Ricochet, leading to a feud with Imperium.
Strowman was drafted to Raw in the 2023 WWE Draft but went on hiatus shortly after for neck surgery. He returned briefly on August 25th to honor Bray Wyatt and later returned full-time during the 2024 WWE Draft.
