Diamond Platnumz, born Naseeb Abdul Juma Issack, is a Tanzanian artist known for his bongo flava music. Beyond his successful music career as a recording artist and dancer, he is a businessman and philanthropist. He heads WCB Wasafi Record Label, Wasafi Bet, and Wasafi Media as the founder and CEO. His popularity extends throughout East and Central Africa, evidenced by his achievement as the first African artist to garner 900 million YouTube views.
In 2006, at the age of 18, Diamond Platnumz began his music career while selling clothes. He recorded his first single, 'Toka Mwanzo', a Bongo Flava and R&B fusion, but it was not a commercial success.
In 2010, Diamond Platnumz endorsed Tanzania's ruling party, Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM), and its presidential candidate, Jakaya Mrisho Kikwete. He has since released songs like 'CCM Tusonge Mbele' in support of the party.
In 2014, Diamond Platnumz received a nomination for Best International Act: Africa at the BET Awards.
In 2017, Diamond Platnumz signed a record deal with Universal Music.
