Edgar Wright is a British filmmaker known for his distinctive, fast-paced, and satirical genre films. His style is characterized by expressive use of popular music, dynamic camera work (Steadicam, dolly zooms), and a signature editing style featuring whip pans and wipes. He began with independent short films and his first feature, 'A Fistful of Fingers', in 1995. Wright created and directed the comedy series 'Asylum' in 1996, co-written with David Walliams. He later directed the sitcom 'Spaced' (1999–2001), starring frequent collaborators Simon Pegg and Nick Frost.
