Elvin Miguel Rodríguez is a professional baseball pitcher from the Dominican Republic, currently playing for the Milwaukee Brewers in MLB. Prior to this, he played for the Detroit Tigers and Tampa Bay Rays in MLB, and also for the Tokyo Yakult Swallows in Nippon Professional Baseball (NPB).
On March 31, 1998, Elvin Miguel Rodríguez was born. He is a Dominican professional baseball pitcher.
On July 4, 2014, Rodríguez signed with the Los Angeles Angels as an international free agent.
In 2015, Rodríguez made his professional debut with the Dominican Summer League Angels, where he had a 0–6 record with a 4.59 ERA over 51 innings.
In 2016, Rodríguez split his time between the DSL and the Arizona League Angels, achieving a combined record of 4–2 with a 1.53 ERA over 58+2⁄3 innings.
On September 15, 2017, the Angels traded Rodríguez to the Detroit Tigers as the player to be named later in the trade that sent Justin Upton to the Angels.
In 2017, Rodríguez split his season between the Orem Owlz and the Burlington Bees, achieving a combined 5–3 record with a 2.91 ERA over 68 innings. He was also named the Pioneer League Pitcher of the Year in 2017.
In 2018, Rodríguez played with the West Michigan Whitecaps, achieving an 8–7 record with a 3.34 ERA over 113+1⁄3 innings.
In 2019, Rodríguez played with the Lakeland Flying Tigers, achieving an 11–9 record with a 3.77 ERA over 133+2⁄3 innings.
In 2020, Rodríguez did not play due to the cancellation of the Minor League Baseball season because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
On November 8, 2021, the Tigers purchased Rodríguez's contract, adding him to their 40-man roster.
On April 10, 2022, Rodríguez made his MLB debut for the Detroit Tigers, pitching in relief against the Chicago White Sox.
On January 18, 2023, Rodríguez signed a minor league contract with the Tampa Bay Rays organization.
On July 13, 2023, Rodríguez signed with the Tokyo Yakult Swallows of Nippon Professional Baseball (NPB).
On November 28, 2023, Rodríguez re-signed with the Tokyo Yakult Swallows on a one-year contract.
On November 21, 2024, Rodríguez and the Swallows parted ways, making him a free agent.
On January 17, 2025, Rodríguez signed a one-year contract with the Milwaukee Brewers that included a club option for the 2026 season.
