Gary Coleman was an American actor who rose to fame as a child star in the late 1970s and 1980s. His role as Arnold Jackson in the sitcom "Diff'rent Strokes" catapulted him to stardom. Due to a kidney disease and its treatments, his growth was stunted. He received several awards for his performance, including Young Artist Awards and People's Choice Awards. Coleman was considered an influential child actor and was ranked first on VH1's "100 Greatest Kid Stars".
