Greg Shahade

Gregory Shahade is an International Master of chess, known for his accomplishments as a player, founder, and educator in the chess community. He achieved scholastic success with three national chess championships and won the Samford Fellowship in 1999 and 2000. Shahade founded the New York Masters and the U.S. Chess League and served on the executive board of the United States Chess Federation. Since 2006, he has run numerous sessions of the US Chess School, mentoring young talents. His contributions have significantly impacted the landscape of chess in the United States.
