Ibstock is a former coal mining village and civil parish located in North West Leicestershire, England. According to the 2001 census, the population of the civil parish was 5,760, which increased to 6,201 in the 2011 census and further to 7,615 in the 2021 census.

1931: End of Passenger Services

In 1931, passenger services to Heather and Ibstock railway station were discontinued.

1964: Closure of the Line

In 1964, the railway line through to Coalville East, including Heather and Ibstock railway station, was completely closed before the Reshaping of British Railways report.

2001: Ibstock Population Census

In 2001, the population of the civil parish of Ibstock was recorded at 5,760.
