History of Ixelles in Timeline
Ixelles (Elsene) is one of the 19 municipalities comprising the Brussels-Capital Region in Belgium. Situated southeast of Brussels' city center, it's divided geographically by the City of Brussels itself. It shares borders with several other municipalities including Auderghem, Etterbeek, Forest, Uccle, Saint-Gilles, and Watermael-Boitsfort.
