August 2004: JBHS Opens

In August 2004, Jensen Beach High School opened with 1100 students in grades 9 through 11.

In 2007, The Florida Department of Education named JBHS as one of the top-50 high schools in the state and being named a Positive Behavior Support (PBS) Model School.

2009: Newsweek and ICLE Recognition

In 2009, Newsweek magazine ranked JBHS as one of the top schools in the nation (636 out of 1500). Also in 2009, the International Center for Leadership in Education recognized JBHS as one of the 40 top schools in the nation.

2010: Newsweek Top Schools

In 2010, "Newsweek" magazine rated Jensen Beach High School as one of the top schools in the nation.

2011: Newsweek Recognition

In 2011, "Newsweek" magazine rated Jensen Beach High School as one of the top schools in the nation, and JBHS was the only one of the three Martin County high schools to be credited by "Newsweek".

2013: Ginger Featherstone promoted

During the summer of 2013, Ginger Featherstone, the original principal, was promoted to Director of Secondary, Adult, and Community Vocational Programs.

2015: Greg Laws Retires

In the summer of 2015, Greg Laws, the second principal, retired for personal health reasons.

2021: Open Choice School Again

In 2021, Jensen Beach High School changed to become an open choice school again.
