Best known as the lead vocalist, guitarist, and songwriter for the Muffs, formed in 1991, she penned and performed the band's signature catchy and energetic punk anthems. Prior to the Muffs, Shattuck was a member of the all-female band The Pandoras from 1985 to 1990. Her musical journey also included a stint with The Beards, a side project alongside Lisa Marr and Sherri Solinger, and she briefly joined the iconic Pixies in 2013 as their bassist.
