The Montreal Expos were a Major League Baseball team based in Montreal, Canada, from 1969 to 2004. As the first MLB franchise outside the United States, they competed in the National League East. After the 2004 season, the team relocated to Washington, D.C., becoming the Washington Nationals, marking the end of MLB in Montreal.
