Nik Lewis is a former American professional slotback who played 15 years in the Canadian Football League (CFL). He's a two-time Grey Cup champion (2008 & 2014 with the Stampeders). Lewis won the CFL Rookie of the Year award in his first season. He's a five-time West Division All-Star and three-time CFL All-Star. He holds the Stampeders' record for consecutive games with a reception (166). Lewis is second all-time as a Stampeder in receptions (805), receiving yards (11,250), and touchdown catches (65), only second to Allen Pitts. He also became the CFL all-time leader in receptions with 1,030 catches on August 24, 2017.
VCU guard Nyk Lewis suffered a severe ankle injury within the first minute of the NCAA tournament game against Illinois, forcing him to exit the game. His condition is currently unknown.
In 2003, Nik Lewis was named an NCAA Division II All-American while attending Southern Arkansas University.

In 2009, Nik Lewis had another 1,000-yard season and scored his first and only touchdown of the season in the 17th game. He also maintained a streak of catching a pass in all 105 games he played in.
In 2012, Nik Lewis was voted "Toughest to Bring Down" in a poll of over 250 CFL players, receiving 35% of the votes. He also ranked high in categories such as "Toughest Player", "Best Hands", and "Best Clutch Performer".
In 2014, Nik Lewis had a diminished role, and his consecutive games with a catch streak was snapped. Despite a challenging season, Lewis helped the Stampeders win the 102nd Grey Cup.
In 2016, Nik Lewis had a resurgent year with the Alouettes, achieving his tenth 1,000 yard season of his career, and his first since 2012. He led the team with 102 receptions and 1,136 yards receiving.
On August 24, 2017, Nik Lewis became the CFL all-time leader in receptions with 1,030 catches.
In 2021, Nik Lewis was inducted into the Canadian Football Hall of Fame as a player, solidifying his legacy.
