Rather than establishing first or second teams, the organization opted to honor a larger roster of exceptional players from throughout the century.

On February 19, 2000, a banquet honored the All-Century Team members. Living members voted for all-century captains (Archie Griffin and Rex Kern on offense, Chris Spielman and Jack Tatum on defense) and MVP (Archie Griffin).
