On the Border

On the Border is the third studio album by the Eagles, released in 1974. Dissatisfied with the country-rock sound of their first two albums, the band sought a more rock-oriented direction, leading them to replace Glyn Johns with Bill Szymczyk as producer for most of the album. This was also the first Eagles album featuring guitarist Don Felder. On the Border reached number 17 on the Billboard album chart and achieved double-platinum status with over two million copies sold.
