On the Border reached number 17 on the Billboard album chart and achieved double-platinum status with over two million copies sold.
On March 22, 1974, the Eagles released their third studio album, "On the Border". It featured a more rock-oriented sound and guitarist Don Felder.
On June 5, 1974, "On the Border" was certified Gold by the RIAA, two and a half months after its release.
On March 20, 2001, the album "On the Border" was certified double platinum for shipments of 2 million copies.
