Pisa International Airport, also known as Galileo Galilei Airport, is a major international airport in Pisa, Italy, and one of Tuscany's two primary airports. Ranked tenth in Italy for passenger volume, it handled over 5.2 million passengers in 2017. Named after the renowned Pisan scientist Galileo Galilei, the airport has historical roots dating back to its military use in the 1930s and 1940s. Today, it also serves as a focus city for Ryanair.
