2023: Successful Season and Ankle Injury

In 2023, Preston Stone led SMU to a 10-2 record, passing for 3,197 yards, completing 206 of 344 passes with six interceptions. He started every game of the 2023 season but suffered an ankle injury during SMU's 59-14 victory over Navy, preventing him from playing in the AAC Championship Game against Tulane.
