Quinn Ewers is an American football quarterback for the Texas Longhorns. He began his college career as part of the Ohio State Buckeyes freshman class before transferring to the University of Texas at Austin.
Quinn Ewers was born on March 15, 2003, in San Antonio, Texas.
In August 2020, Ewers initially committed to the Texas Longhorns.
Ewers decommitted from Texas in October 2020 and committed to Ohio State in November 2020.
Ewers officially enrolled at Ohio State and joined the team for preseason training camp in August 2021.
On November 20, 2021, Ewers made his debut for Ohio State against Michigan State.
In December 2021, Ewers announced his transfer to the University of Texas.
In 2021, Ewers played his junior season at Carroll Senior High School, passing for 2,442 yards and 28 touchdowns in eight games. He also participated in the 2021 Elite 11 competition, finishing in sixth place.
Ewers was considered a top recruit in the 2022 recruiting class.
Ewers was named the starting quarterback for Texas entering the 2022 season.
During the 2023 Big 12 Championship game, Ewers set a passing record and was named MVP.
