History of Rif in Timeline
The Rif, also known as the Rif Mountains, is a geographic region in northern Morocco. It is bordered by the Mediterranean Sea and Spain to the north, the Atlantic Ocean to the west, Cape Spartel and Tangier to the west, Berkane and the Moulouya River to the east, and the Ouergha River to the south. The Rif is home to the Riffians and the Jebala people. The Rif mountains are separated into the eastern Rif mountains and western Rif mountains.
