Ritchie Torres is an American politician currently serving as the U.S. Representative for New York's 15th congressional district since 2021. As a Democrat, he previously served on the New York City Council (2014-2020). His district, encompassing most of the South Bronx, is notable for being the poorest in the United States by median income and also one of the smallest geographically.
