In 2018, Kwan had a strong junior year at Oregon State, helping lead the Beavers to a national championship in the College World Series, and was then drafted by the Cleveland Indians in the fifth round of the Major League Baseball draft.
In 2019, Kwan played with the Lynchburg Hillcats, batting .280 with three home runs, 39 RBIs, and 26 doubles over 123 games.
In 2020, Kwan did not play a game due to the cancellation of the minor league season caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
