Tatiana Suarez is an American mixed martial artist (MMA) fighter and former wrestler competing in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) women's Strawweight division. She won the strawweight tournament during season 23 of The Ultimate Fighter. As of April 16, 2024, she held the #1 ranking in the UFC women's strawweight division, and as of October 8, 2024, she was ranked #10 in the UFC women's pound-for-pound rankings.
Tatiana Yadira Suarez Padilla was born on December 19, 1990.
In 2007, Tatiana Suarez placed second at the Junior World Championships and was named ASICs National High School Wrestler of the Year.
In 2008, Suarez won gold at the Pan American Championships, bronze at the Junior World Championships, another bronze at the World Championships, and was named National High School Wrestler of the Year for the second time.
In 2009, Suarez placed fifth at the World Championships.
In 2010, Suarez won silver at the World Cup and bronze at the World Championships.
In 2011, Tatiana Suarez was ranked the number one freestyle wrestler in the US at 55 kg (121 lb).
In 2012, while training for the Olympics, Suarez suffered a neck injury and was diagnosed with thyroid cancer. She underwent treatment and recovered.
Suarez began training in mixed martial arts in 2013.
