Taylor Townsend is an American professional tennis player known for her success in doubles. She reached world No. 1 in doubles in 2025 and has won two major titles: the 2024 Wimbledon Championships and the 2025 Australian Open, both with Kateřina Siniaková. Townsend has also reached two other major finals: the 2022 US Open and the 2023 French Open. She has won eleven WTA Tour titles. In singles, her career-high ranking is No. 46, achieved in August 2024.
In October 2010, at the age of 14, Taylor Townsend entered her first professional-level tournament and won her first career match.
In 2011, Taylor Townsend played in the doubles event at the US Open and reached the third round. She also defeated world No. 122, Arantxa Parra Santonja, in the first round of singles qualifying draw.
