The Trust Hospital Company Limited is a Ghanaian healthcare provider initially established to serve SSNIT staff and their families. It has since expanded to offer comprehensive medical services to the wider public. The hospital actively conducts health screening programs, including Breast Cancer Awareness campaigns, in collaboration with other private entities, demonstrating a commitment to preventative healthcare and community well-being.

1992: Establishment of The Trust Hospital

In 1992, The Trust Hospital was established as a not-for-profit healthcare facility initially for SSNIT staff before expanding to the public.

November 2010: Incorporation as The Trust Hospital Company Limited

In November 2010, The Trust Hospital was incorporated in Ghana as The Trust Hospital Company Limited, which comprised three hospitals (The Trust Hospital, The Trust Specialist Hospital, and the Trust Mother and Child Hospital) and six satellite clinics.

January 2013: Hospital broken off from SSNIT

In January 2013, The Trust Hospital was broken off from its mother company, SSNIT.

2014: Inauguration of Mother and Child Hospital and acquisition of colposcope

In 2014, The Trust Hospital Company Limited inaugurated the "Mother and Child Hospital" in Osu, Accra. The hospital also acquired a colposcope to assist with the treatment of cervical cancer.

2018: Conversion to Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system

In 2018, The Trust Hospital converted to an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system, connecting all three hospitals and six clinics. During the COVID-19 outbreak, they introduced "The Trust Hospital Telemedicine Service."

April 2020: Dr. Mrs. Juliana Oye Ameh appointed as CEO

In April 2020, Dr. Mrs. Juliana Oye Ameh was appointed as the first chief executive officer of The Trust Hospital, serving a five-year term.

May 2025: End of Dr. Ameh's term as CEO

In May 2025, Dr. Ameh's five-year term as the chief executive officer of The Trust Hospital came to an end.

June 2025: Henry Shirazu Alhassan Appointed Supervising Director

In June 2025, following the departure of Dr. Ameh, Henry Shirazu Alhassan, PhD, was appointed as Supervising Director (Acting Chief Executive Officer) of The Trust Hospital.

November 2025: New Board of Directors Appointed

In November 2025, The Trust Hospital was governed by a new Board of Directors chaired by Ambassador Edith Hazel, with other members including Mr. Ernest Nunoo, Sharif Mahmud Khalid, PhD, Dr. Emmanuel Kojo Jones Mensah, and Henry Shirazu Alhassan, PhD.
