A lead member of the hip hop collective ASAP Mob, he adopted his moniker and signed a recording contract with Polo Grounds and RCA Records in January 2013. These labels also launched ASAP Worldwide. Two years prior, ASAP Rocky and ASAP Yams negotiated a contract with the same label.
